On October 23, 2024, Hudson’s Edge Catering & Events was thrilled to celebrate a remarkable milestone—our 10-year anniversary! What started as a small, family-owned business with a passion for farm-to-table catering has evolved into a flourishing company, known for creating memorable events for weddings, corporate clients, and social celebrations. It’s been an incredible journey, filled with growth, change, and unforgettable experiences, and we owe so much of this success to our amazing clients and team.
This blog is dedicated to reflecting on our journey, highlighting how far we’ve come, and most importantly, expressing our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us along the way. We’re so excited for what’s to come, but let’s first take a look at how it all began and how we’ve evolved into the Hudson’s Edge name you know and love today.
Bryan and Judy Wilson founded Hudson's Edge Catering driven by their shared passion for exceptional food and hospitality. Bryan’s culinary journey began with a strong educational foundation at the Culinary Institute of America in New York, where he honed his skills and discovered his love for crafting unforgettable dining experiences. Judy was always the go-to family member for celebrations, helping family members plan their special occasions from decorating to preparing food for the events. It has always been a dream of hers to have a catering business since she was young.
After gaining years of experience in the culinary world as a private chef, Bryan’s vision to open a catering company was also fueled by his desire to offer fresh, high-quality, farm-to-table-inspired menus. Together, our mother-son duo, Bryan and Judy built Hudson's Edge from the ground up, bringing their commitment to excellence and community to every event.
Hudson’s Edge Catering & Events was born out of a deep love for food and a belief in using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients to create extraordinary dining experiences. Our first event, held on October 23, 2014, for the Ohio Cattleman’s Association, marked the beginning of our company’s journey. Back then, we had a simple vision—to bring farm-to-table culinary experiences to life for our clients in Columbus, Ohio, and surrounding areas.
In those early days, we started small, but our commitment to quality and personalized service quickly set us apart. Our first menus were simple but delicious: grazing tables with cheese, crackers, fresh veggies and homemade dips, dessert bars featuring cake pops and the oh-so-popular (back then!) chocolate fountains, and hearty family-style meals that brought people together.
While our offerings were limited in the beginning, one thing remained constant—our dedication to using the freshest ingredients and our passion for delivering unforgettable events. As we reflect on those early days, we’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come. Our menu, processes, and team have all grown in ways we could only have dreamed of back then, but our core values have stayed the same.
Over the past 10 years, Hudson’s Edge has evolved in ways that make us incredibly proud. Our journey from those first few events to becoming a go-to caterer for weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings has been nothing short of amazing. From a small, close-knit team in a local kitchen space, we’ve grown to a diverse group of talented chefs, event managers, and staff, on-site kitchen and much more; all working together to make every event unforgettable. Our journey from buying supplies for a former catering company to expanding to venues throughout Central Ohio… is truly unique and one for the ages. Check out a fun snapshot of our past 10 years.
Our success wouldn’t be possible without our incredible team. From the very beginning, we’ve been blessed with a staff that shares our passion for exceptional food and service. Today, Hudson’s Edge is led by an all-star team that we’re honored to showcase in this milestone celebration.
Our Chefs: Master Executive Chef Bryan, along with Sous Chefs Beth, Kay, Judy, and Jim, are not only all members of the Wilson family, but the masterminds behind our beloved menus. Not only bringing family recipes to our clients but the care of so many hand crafted dishes. Each chef brings their own unique skillset, from Bryan’s culinary background of French-American flavors to Kay’s impeccable desserts, their expertise and passion for cooking make every dish we serve unforgettable.
Our Sales Team: Christyn and Nicole are our rockstar sales team. They build relationships with all of our partner venues so our team can be familiar with the space and allows for seamless event execution. Always bringing energy, expertise, and genuine passion to every client interaction. Whether it’s guiding couples through wedding details or helping corporate clients design the perfect menu, their ability to translate vision into reality makes Hudson’s Edge stand out.
Our Operations Team: Led by our General Manager Jessi, the Operations Team ensures every event runs like a well-oiled machine. Jessi’s leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence help us deliver the high level of service that defines Hudson’s Edge. Her coordination behind the scenes ensures smooth logistics in the shop, adequate staffing for events and making sure each team is fully prepared, she really is the key to letting our staff shine on the front lines.
The Front of House Team: We’re proud of our exceptional team of event managers—Tracey, Michelle, Caitlee, Joey Beth, Chandler, Will and so many more —who lead our events with grace, professionalism, and a warm smile. Whether they’re managing a large wedding or a small corporate gathering, they ensure that every detail is perfect.
Leanne and Matt: As two of our longest-serving team members, Leanne and Matt have been with us since day one. Leanne’s reliability and willingness to step up in any situation are key reasons for our success, while Matt has become our master behind-the-scenes orchestrator in the kitchen. Both have been instrumental in our journey.
At Hudson’s Edge, our team is like family, and we believe that their dedication, expertise, and heart for serving guests are what truly set us apart. We’re honored to have them by our side as we celebrate this milestone.

Bryan and Judy share a vision for the company’s continued expansion. They hope to see us move into a larger kitchen facility in the central Ohio area, which would provide the space and infrastructure to keep up with our growing demand. With a bigger kitchen, we can better support larger events, continue to grow sustainably, and extend our service area to accommodate a broader corporate market. Expanding would also allow us to bring new talent into our family, strengthening our team and enhancing the services we provide.
