Introduction
We were honored to be part of Allie & Brendan Radel’s one-of-a-kind wedding on August 9, 2024, at the beautiful Four Seasons Barn in Cardington, Ohio. Their special day was filled with heartfelt moments, unique personal touches, and a menu as thoughtfully curated as their love story. From French blue accents to surprises like The Ice Cream Social truck, their wedding was truly unforgettable. Let’s dive into all the details that made their day extraordinary!
Unique Touches
Allie & Brendan incorporated so many creative elements that celebrated their love story and personalities. Their wedding program was styled like a news article, complete with a story of how they met and fun facts about their guests, including who traveled the farthest and their wedding planning highlights. (Spoiler alert: finding a caterer was mentioned as one of their easiest decisions—how cool is that?!) Before the ceremony, they shared private vows, a touching and intimate moment just for the two of them.
Given their love for travel, they used an Almanac guest book, inviting guests to jot down notes and travel suggestions for places they should explore. This personal touch beautifully reflected their adventurous spirit and created a keepsake filled with heartfelt messages and wanderlust inspiration.
Wedding Coordination Services
One of the standout features of Allie & Brendan's wedding day was having Nicole, our in-house wedding coordinator, managing all the final details to ensure everything went off without a hitch. As part of our “Finishing Touches” Wedding Coordination Package, Nicole worked closely with the couple during the final months of their planning to tie up loose ends, finalize vendor communications, and create a detailed timeline.
On the big day, Nicole was on-site, overseeing every aspect of the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. From ensuring that the décor was set up perfectly to coordinating with vendors and keeping the schedule on track, Nicole handled it all. This allowed Allie & Brendan, along with their families, to relax and fully enjoy their celebration without stress. The glowing smiles and seamless flow of the day were a testament to the value of having a dedicated coordinator who brought their vision to life.
Color Scheme & Decor
French blue was the color of the day, bringing elegance and charm throughout the wedding. The bridesmaids wore stunning French blue dresses, complemented by cheesecloth runners, napkins, and carousel water goblets in the same hue. Even the little details carried this theme, like a blue checkerboard set for the Connect Four yard game and "The Perfect Mix" trail mix favors featuring blue chocolate candy pieces. The thoughtful attention to detail brought their wedding vision to life and made the day visually stunning.
Appetizers & Hors d’Oeuvres
During one of their tastings, the mother of the bride shared her experience that: at most weddings, appetizers are often the highlight for guests, while the main course takes a back seat. With this in mind, she wanted to ensure Allie & Brendan’s wedding offered a wide variety of snackable, crowd-pleasing appetizers that would set the tone for a memorable dining experience. Therefore, their cocktail hour menu was loaded with these favorites; some of which were butler passed to guests on the patio and others were set on a stationary display for guests to help themselves. This style service is perfect when hosting a large group so people aren’t always hunting to find the snacks, or waiting in a long line to get to the app table!

Guests were welcomed to beautifully preset tables featuring our signature homemade soft rolls with butter and a stunning Cucumber Parmesan Green Salad. This elegant starter included fresh salad greens wrapped in a long cucumber slice, garnished with chopped tomato and a parmesan crisp wheel, served with Ranch and Italian dressing on the side.
For the plated dinner, guests enjoyed a choice of entrées designed to please a variety of palates:
Each entrée was accompanied by our creamy Garlic Smashed Red Skin Potatoes and a medley of Garden Roasted Vegetables, creating a well-rounded, satisfying meal.
Desserts & Sweet Surprises
Dessert was a labor of love, thanks to a longtime dear family friend who created a table full of handmade treats. Guests enjoyed cupcakes, delicate macarons, and a funfetti wedding cake! But the surprises didn’t stop there—the Ice Cream Social truck rolled in after dinner, serving a variety of delicious ice cream dishes that was a super fun addition to the party.
To complement the family friend's handmade dessert table, we served Fresh Fruit Martinis as a light and refreshing dessert option. These colorful treats featured crisp cantaloupe, pineapple, strawberries, and grapes served with a fruit dip in elegant martini glasses—a perfect finish to a delicious meal.
The reception was a lively celebration from start to finish! Allie & Brendan kicked things off with parent dances, leading into a packed dance floor where guests danced the night away to a live band - Arch City Lights. Glow sticks added a festive flair, and the night ended on a magical note with a sparkler send off that lit up the evening sky and made for a magical ending.
