Introduction
April may feel far away as we sit in the middle of winter, but Savannah & Mateo’s wedding is the perfect reminder that warm, sun-filled wedding days are just around the corner! Their April 21, 2024, wedding was a beautiful spring celebration filled with sentimental touches, a perfect color palette, and a nod to the groom’s heritage. Hosted at Swan Lake Event Center in Powell, their reception was an elegant yet welcoming gathering of family and friends.
Savannah and Mateo exchanged vows at an off-site location in Westerville before making their way to Swan Lake Event Center for their reception. The ceremony was heartfelt and personal, setting the tone for an evening full of love, laughter, and celebration.
Savannah & Mateo’s wedding was a stunning blend of timeless elegance and soft, romantic tones. Bridesmaids wore flowing satin gowns in a soft sage green, complementing the fresh and natural feel of spring. The groomsmen were dressed in light gray suits, creating a classic and cohesive look alongside the groom.
Guests were welcomed into the reception with a beautiful display of fresh florals, candlelight and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Savannah & Mateo kept their tablescape classic and elegant with Bone Gold Rimmed china dinnerware, giving their reception a touch of subtle charm. The combination of crisp white linens and soft white napkins created a clean, timeless look.
One of the sweetest personal touches? The wedding cake was lovingly made by the bride’s Aunt Peggy, adding a heartfelt, homemade element to their dessert table. Another meaningful detail was the inclusion of Horchata, a traditional Mexican non-alcoholic beverage, served in honor of Mateo’s heritage. This special touch gave guests a taste of tradition and celebrated the blending of families and cultures.
The couple treated their guests to a delicious spread, starting with a variety of non-alcoholic beverages and a coffee bar, perfect for sipping and mingling. The appetizer lineup featured our cheese and cracker display, fresh vegetable shooters, and Roasted Brie & Fig Phyllo Cups, offering a mix of savory and refreshing bites.
For dinner, they opted for a buffet featuring pasta favorites, giving guests a comforting and crowd-pleasing meal. And as a fun late-night snack, they brought out our fan-favorite candied bacon, a sweet and savory bite to keep the energy going well into the night!

As the sun set, Savannah & Mateo’s reception was in full swing. Guests enjoyed heartfelt toasts, a lively dance floor, and the perfect mix of music, courtesy of Cap City DJ, a close family friend. The night was filled with smiles, laughter, and unforgettable memories, all wrapped up with a truly joyful celebration.
Savannah & Mateo, it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of your special day! From the meaningful traditions to the stunning wedding details, your day was a perfect reflection of your love story. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness, adventure, and love. Cheers to the newlyweds! 💕
